What’s the deal with CBD? CBD Oil, sometimes referred to as Hemp Extract, is derived from a specific strand of the Cannabis Sativa plant. This type of plant produces multiple strains of sub-plants, including Industrial Hemp and Marijuana. Although Marijuana and Hemp are derived from the same plant species, and although a common misconception is that Hemp and Marijuana are the same thing, Marijuana and Hemp are in fact not the same. Moreover, Hemp and Marijuana are complete opposites with different physical effects. Therefore, due to Industrial Hemp acting as the primary ingredient for CBD oil, CBD lacks the ability to get you high. To make a long story short:

Industrial Hemp

• Naturally produces higher levels of Cannabidiol’s (CBD)
• Creates low levels of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the psychoactive cannabinoid (element that gets you high)
• Main ingredient of CBD Oil
• Legalized for cultivating in the USA according to the Farm Bill Act

Marijuana

• Produces high levels of THC
• Creates lower levels of CBD
• Legal status varies from state to state
